REALMstudios worked with the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities to envision a water sensitive future for the new Fishermans Bend Precinct in Melbourne.

 

The work combines a currency of research with regard to new urban/city conveyance and cleansing systems with ideas of site, precinct and site-based initiatives that together contribute to a higher level liveability outcome i.e. decreased flooding, increased shade in summer and legible and integrated green infrastructure. Together we are looking to new city futures without proposing a sometimes alienating ‘futuristic’ aesthetic.
